Slowing down. Breathing deeply.

Giving your body permission to rest.

Each class is intentionally designed to help your body transition out of "doing" mode and into a deeply restorative state.

Your experience may include:

  • Gentle grounding practices

  • Breathwork to calm the nervous system

  • Guided Deep Rest Meditation

  • Somatic body awareness

  • Mindfulness practices

  • Crystal singing bowls

  • Therapeutic sound healing instruments

  • Gentle Reiki energy for relaxation

  • Quiet integration before returning to your day

You'll simply lie comfortably on your yoga mat while being gently guided into a state of deep rest.

Many participants describe feeling lighter, calmer, mentally clear, emotionally balanced, and physically refreshed after class.

Why deep rest matters?

Most of us spend much of our lives operating in a heightened state of stress.

When your nervous system is constantly focused on work, responsibilities, technology, family demands, or past experiences, your body can remain stuck in "survival mode." This often shows up as:

  • Difficulty relaxing

  • Anxiety or chronic worry

  • Poor sleep

  • Mental fatigue

  • Muscle tension

  • Feeling emotionally overwhelmed

  • Trouble concentrating

  • Feeling disconnected from yourself

Deep rest gives your nervous system an opportunity to shift out of survival mode and into a restorative state where your body can recover.

You aren't forcing yourself to relax.

You're creating the conditions that allow relaxation to happen naturally.

What Happens in the Brain During Deep Rest?

When we intentionally slow the body and calm the breath, remarkable things begin happening inside the brain.

Your stress response starts to quiet.

Activity in areas associated with constant thinking, planning, and worry begins to settle while brain networks involved in awareness, creativity, emotional processing, and memory become more active.

As your breathing slows and your muscles relax, your brain receives signals that you're safe.

This allows your nervous system to reduce its "fight, flight, or freeze" response and shift toward a state associated with rest, digestion, healing, and recovery.

Many people notice:

  • A quieter mind

  • Slower thoughts

  • Reduced anxiety

  • Improved emotional regulation

  • Better focus afterward

  • Increased creativity

  • A greater sense of peace

While every experience is unique, deep rest gives the brain an opportunity to pause from constant stimulation and return to a more balanced state.

Give Yourself Permission to Rest

Rest is not something you have to earn.

When you slow down, breathe deeply, and allow yourself to simply be, your body has an opportunity to restore what daily life often depletes.

Join us for a Healing Wings Nervous System Reset Sound Bath and experience the power of guided deep rest, sound healing, breathwork, and mindful awareness.

Your nervous system—and your whole self—will thank you.
